Mother's Milk

We are not hunters or grazers,
but vultures and scavengers.
We are not beasts of burden,
but vermin and parasites.
We are not soldiers that defend,
but thieves that burn and plunder.

I think tomorrow, for us
Earth may shake its blanket of all its vermin
those that have taken and not given.
